Fox 29s Breakfast With Bob paid a recent call on Poppi’s Café in the Township Line Shopping Center at 1254 Township Line Road in Drexel Hill, reports fox29.com.

The place shines with a family-friendly atmosphere, from enthusiastic regulars to the photos of kids, parents and more on the walls.

“The pictures started on the wall from a little kid that came in and looked like me when I was a little one, and from there it went on and on with the kids,” said owner John Antista.

Poppi’s celebrated its third-year anniversary this past March.

Antista and Tony Andreacchio started the restaurant, according to a 2018 article at Delco News Network.

John’s wife joked that her husband had a mid-life crisis and wanted to either open a restaurant or buy a Harley.

‘And I said a restaurant’s safe, so here we are,” she said.

Café specialties range from Reuben and creamed chip beef omelets to crunchy French toast with Rice Krispies and powdered sugar, cannoli French toast, and a Texas club sandwich.

The café is famous for its creamed chip beef which is made fresh every day over toast.
