The diner, which opened in November 2018, came in third.

It is named after its two owners, Alex “Tank” Reed and Jo “Libby” Liberatore.

Classic diner items are available, but it is the extra effort food, like Cajun shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles and crème brulee French toast that sets it apart.

“We have a scratch kitchen. Everything back there is made to order,” Tank said.

Tank & Libby’s chef worked at the Four Seasons hotel, where they were very particular about omelettes. At Tank & Libby’s, they turn out 80 to 90 omelettes a day.

The diner is a family affair, with Alex’s mom and aunt both working there.

His aunt has volunteered at the diner for over a year. Alex’s mom works weekends.

Tank & Libby’s joins the Lamp Post Diner in Clementon, Camden County;  the Red Lion Diner in Southampton Township, Burlington County; and  Daddypops in Hatboro, Montgomery County.

The number one and two slots in the top six diner countdown have yet to be chosen.
