For a short time last week, the Philadelphia International Airport was a soft pretzel shop, writes Danye Henninger for billypenn.com.

With Delaware County and the Philadelphia region getting international attention from its critical vote count in the presidential election, people turned to Google Maps to learn more about our area.

On Thursday evening, they learned the airport is a pretzel shop.

Apparently, according to Google Maps. people flying into the city were landing at “Philly Pretzel Factory—Philadelphia International Airport. “

Philly Pretzel Factory has 25 locations in the city, including the airport.

Most Philadelphia Pretzel Factory listings on Google Maps just show pictures of pretzels on trays under a heat lamp.

But on Thursday, if you clicked on “Philadelphia Pretzel Factory—Philadelphia International Airport,” it showed you a plane icon next to the address, 8000 Essinigton Ave., and a description: “Large hub with direct rail service, rotating art exhibitions & aviation-themed play areas for kids.”

The description, of course, was for the airport, the city’s destination for international air travel.

As of Friday at 7:45 a.m. the listing had been corrected. The airport was, once again, just an airport.
