By

Voters in Delaware County looking for some straight forward answers to their election year questions can now turn to DELCO VOTES, a comprehensive website set up by Delaware County to educate residents about the 2020 General Election.

DELCO VOTES is an updated elections website created to make it easier for voters, candidates, poll workers and the media to find out critical information about the November election.

The Nov. 3 General Election is being held during the COVID-19 pandemic, requiring changes to the electoral process.

In addition to general election information, the site links to an Election News page providing news, updates and clarifications about the 2020 General Election.

The DELCO VOTES website will offer residents information on:

  • How to register to vote
  • Ways to vote
  • Information on the new Voter Service Centers
  • Information on Ballot Drop Boxes
  • A list of candidates and a sample ballot
  • A new Election Hotline: 610-891-VOTE
  • Election related news
  • Voter Resources
  • Poll Worker Resources
  • Candidate Resources
  • COVID-19 Guidance
  • Election Results
  • Election Calendar

You can check out the new site here.

In a related matter, the Delaware County Bureau of Elections announced it has begun releasing ballots to voters who requested either a mail-in or absentee ballot.

Over 100,000 vote-by-mail ballots were released on Saturday, Oct 3,
and an additional 9,000 vote-by-mail ballots are scheduled to be released later this week.

This includes all vote-by-mail ballot applications received by Sept. 20 and all ballots for those voters who selected to receive a vote-by-ballot for the November election when they applied to vote by mail prior to the June primary election.

The Bureau of Elections will continue to process vote-by-mail applications received until the Oct. 27 deadline.
