Chadds Ford Jeweler Is Among Main Line’s Hottest New Designers
A Chadds Ford jeweler is among the four Main Line’s hottest designers reshaping trends and making their names known worldwide, writes Lisa Dukart for the Main Line Today.
Alexis Kletjian developed her love for jewelry early when she spent weekends perusing her family’s Boston jewelry shop.
While she later opted to pursue a career in fashion, her passion for jewelry stayed alive and she returned to it nine years ago.
After learning all she could about the art of jewelry she then went on to create her own line.
Kletjian works primarily with gold and diamonds. One of her first lines was titled Shield Yourself which was inspired by an armor exhibit she saw at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
“I feel very attracted to armor—the decoration and just the over-the-top craftsmanship of the time,” said Keltjian. “I’m inspired by antique pieces that have survived and hold a lot of meaning.”
Now after closing her Kennett Square store of three years and moving her sales online, Kletjian is also considering running a mobile store using her recently purchased vintage motorhome.
