Remembering 50 Pennsylvanians Who Lost Their Lives to COVID-19, Including 4 From Delaware County

Every day there are statistics reporting new cases of COVID-19, including those who have died from the virus.

The York Daily Record reminded its readers that the victims are more than just a number as it presented a snapshot  of 50 Pennsylvanians who lost their lives to COVID-19, reported by Kim Strong.

The list included four from Delaware County.

Falneshia Adams, 49, from Prospect Park, was a hospital environmental worker and mother of a 10-year-old girl. She loved her family, fashion and music. . She died May 16.

Amy Becker, 68, of Media, was a graduate of Elizabethtown College. She loved painting, playing the piano and writing poetry. She was a 20-year caregiver for the elderly. She died April 5.

Daniel and Valerie Zane, 94 and 91, Haverford, met on a blind date in 1949.  They died within two days of one another.

He was an Army veteran and lawyer; she was a medical administrator. They raised two daughters together in White Plains, N.Y. They moved to Haverford two years ago.

Valerie died April 15 but was never tested for COVID-19. Daniel, who tested positive for the virus, died April 17.
