Springfield Giant Store Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Major Renovations

By

Major renovations are now underway at the Springfield Giant store at 721 W. Sproul Road, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.

The upgrades should be completed by fall.

“We are coming up on our 10th anniversary in Springfield and looking forward to celebrating with an updated and enhanced store for our customers,” said Mark Gregor, store manager, Springfield GIANT. “Our customers’ grocery needs are changing, and this remodel will help us to better serve our busy customers and their families with optimized product assortment and improved displays for a simplified shopping experience.”

The changes will make shopping simpler for busy families and encourage fresh food shopping.

There will be a larger assortment of products, new and improved cases in produce, deli, meat and seafood, and bakery.

The décor will be modernized throughout the store and new lighting installed.

The current Beer & Wine Eatery will be refreshed and expanded for more product variety.

There will be new floral and health& beauty care departments and a remodeled pharmacy.

A designated plant-based product area will also be introduced.

The renovations are part of a $114 million investment in capital expenditures announced by GIANT earlier this year.
