Delaware County Has 50 New COVID-19 Cases as of Sunday, June 14 and Seven New COVID-19 Related Deaths

There were seven new COVID-19 deaths reported for Delaware County as of Sunday, June 14. There were 50 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

That brings the total number of cases in the county to 6,944 and the total number of COVID-19 related deaths at 671. Of those, 535 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, , according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

Yeadon Borough continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. It has 412 cases, affecting 3.59 percent of its 11,471 population.

Upper Darby continues to have the most cases, at 1,101, affecting 1.33 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

There are 291 cases still under investigation, to which no municipality has been assigned.

The county has had 27,644 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 76 percent recovery rate.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of midnight, June 14, that there are 336 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 78,798.

There are 6,215 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 4 new deaths.
