Delaware County COVID-19 Numbers Continue to Trend Lower–Only 35 New Cases, No Deaths

There were no new COVID-19 related deaths reported for Monday, June 15 in Delaware County. There were 34 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

That brings the total number of cases in the county to 6,978 and the total number of COVID-19 related deaths remaining at 671. Of those, 535 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, , according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

Yeadon Borough continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. It has 413 cases, affecting 3.6 percent of its 11,471 population.

Upper Darby continues to have the most cases, at 1,119, affecting 1.35 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

There are 294 cases still under investigation, to which no municipality has been assigned.

The county has had 28,088 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 76 percent recovery rate.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of midnight, June 15, that there are 323 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 79,121.

There are 6,243 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 28 new deaths.
