60 More COVID-19 Deaths Reported for Delaware County, 39 New Cases as of June 4

There were 60 additional COVID-19 related deaths reported for Delaware County as of Thursday, June 4.

There were 39 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

That brings the county total number of COVID-19 cases to 6,639, with fatalities now at 614..

COVID-19 deaths are now reported in 36 of the 45 municipalities of the county.

There are 269 cases still under investigation, to which no municipality has been assigned.

Yeadon Borough continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. It has 401 cases, affecting 3.5 percent of its 11,471 population.

Upper Darby continues to have the most cases, at 1,045, affecting 1.26 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

Pennsylvania data

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of midnight, June 4, that there are 537 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 73,942.

There are 5,817 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 75 new deaths.

The southeast region of the state, which includes Delaware, Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks and Chester Counties, has the highest number of positive confirmed cases in the state, at 47,864.  The next highest number of cases in the state is in the northeast, reporting 13,240 cases.
