No New COVID-19 Deaths Reported May 26 for Delaware County, 61 New Cases
No new COVID-19 deaths were reported in Delaware County for Tuesday, May 26, with the death toll remaining at 524, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.
Of that total number, 393 occurred in a nursing home or personal care facility in the county.
There were 61 more cases reported since Monday, for a total of 6,295.
In Delaware County, there are 125.3 new confirmed cases over 14 days per 100,000 population, above the state target of only 50 new confirmed cases over 14 days per 100,000 population.
Of the 49 municipalities in Delaware County, 35 are now reporting COVID-19 deaths.

The virus is reported in all 49 municipalities.
There are 260 cases still under investigation, to which no municipality has been assigned.
Yeadon Borough continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. It has 379 cases, affecting 3.3 percent of its 11,471 population.
Upper Darby has the most reported cases, at 986, affecting 1.19 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.
The county has had 18,100 people test negative for the virus.

Pennsylvania data
The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of midnight, May 256, that there are 451 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 68,637.
There are 5,152 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 13 new deaths.
The southeast region of the state, which includes Delaware, Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks and Chester Counties, has the highest number of positive confirmed cases in the state, at 44,306. The next highest number of cases in the state is in the northeast, reporting 12,737 cases.
