Recent Delaware County Weekly COVID-19 Rates on Par With Previous Week

The week of June 4 to June 10 showed virtually no change in the number of positive counts of new COVID-19 cases in Delaware County from the previous week, though cases are still down from a month ago, according to the Chester County Health Department.

This past week showed only 126 cases, compared to 125 the week before.

A month ago, the county was experiencing weekly rates of 270 positive cases of COVID-19 in a seven-day period.

The weekly rates information comes from a 4-week rates summary provided by the Chester County Health Department.

The health department also released its most recent 4-week summary regarding COVID-19 testing in Delaware County. The positive PCR test count has also held steady this past week compared to previous weeks but is lower than a month ago.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, June 13, that there were 638 additional cases of COVID-19 statewide since statistics were last reported June 11. The current statewide total COVID-19 cases are 1,208,513.

There were 31 additional COVID-19 deaths statewide June 13 since statistics were last reported June 11. Total deaths statewide are now 27,488.
