Bonner/Prendie Class of 2020 Remembered Fondly in This Pandemic Year With Lawn Sign Delivery

By

The Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast senior class prom should have been May 1, but that high school benchmark was put aside this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Likewise, this year’s Class of 2020 will have to graduate virtually, writes Peg DeGrass for the Daily Times.

In recognition of that sacrifice, 25 Bonner & Prendie faculty, staff and administrators, as well as the school mascots, Panda and Friar, delivered 169 law signs to each senior’s home on May 1.

“It brought much happiness to the students and their families as they were surprised to be greeted, when their doorbell rang, from one of our faculty, staff, or administrators including myself and principal James Strandberg,” said Bonner&Prendie president Dr. John Cooke.

“2020 Senior Strong” signs were delivered to senior class homes from Aston to North Philadelphia.

“Your delivery yesterday helped navigate this crazy quarantine time a little easier!” wrote Kate O’Brien on the school’s Facebook page.

The school is also featuring and celebrating its graduating class on its Facebook page with individual profiles of the graduates.
