Find Out Which Towns in Delaware County Made the Top 50 List of Best Places to Live in PA

The website HomeSnacks recently ranked the 50 best places to live in Pennsylvania in 2020, with Swarthmore and Ridley Park listed in the top 10 and Media making the top 50 , reports Kara Seymour for patch.com.

The website used numbers from new census data and FBI statistics. They also looked at home values, median income, crime rates, education, poverty and more, and rated each criteria. Analysts then compiled the numbers to find the best places to live.

Swarthmore came in third with the 13th lowest crime in the state.

The site described Swarthmore schools as some of the best in Pennsylvania. Median income is $109,648 a year, with unemployment running at 5.8 percent.  Median home value is $410,100.

Ridley Park was listed ninth.

Median home value is $204,400. The unemployment rate is 3.8 percent.  Crime is reported as the 50th lowest in the state.

Media came in 23rd, with a median income of $71,841, and a median home value of $316,600

Other towns that made the list were Norwood at 25, Glenolden at 45, and Brookhaven at 48.
