A new 74,000 square foot Giant food store at 2180 West Chester Pike in Broomall will open Dec. 6, replacing a Springfield Road Giant store, writes Max Bennett for Patch.com.

The store will employ 200 full and part-time workers.

It will be open 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week.

“We’ve proudly served the Broomall community for over 17 years, and we are excited to do so in a bigger and better way once we open our new store next month,” said store manager Scott Grygo.

The store will offer an expanded farm fresh produce department with in-store cut fruit, fresh squeezed juice, a smoothie bar, kombucha taps and an expanded salad bar.

There will be a full-service deli that includes a barbecue station featuring meats that are smoked in-store daily and an in-store charcuterie station, local fresh and frozen pasta and artisan cheeses and a mozzarella station featuring cannoli and other fresh products from Spring-Grove-based Caputo Brothers Creamery.

The new store features a beer & wine eatery stocked with 300 varieties of beer and wine, focusing on Pennsylvania craft beer and wine.

There will also be a full-service bakery, catering and pharmacy.
