Four Delaware County schools are among the Top 500 STEM High Schools in the nation for 2020, writes Nancy Cooper for Newsweek.

Radnor Senior High School ranked highest among Delaware County schools at No. 319.

The Haverford School is next at No. 428, followed by The Agnes Irwin School in Rosemont at No. 447.

The list is rounded off by The Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square at No. 498.

A good science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education has grown in importance over the years. The STEM skills only possessed by specialists today will be expected from nearly everybody in the future American workforce.

These skills are best adopted at an early age, as children are natural STEM students with their incisive curiosity and desire to explore. It is very important to nurture that early drive and creativity and make sure they are not lost along the way.
