The Delaware County Intermediate Unit provides services, such as special education and stff development programs, to all the school districts in Delaware County, including nearly 70,000 school-aged students and more than 6,000 educators.  Among its other work, DCIU has recently been working to prevent teen suicide.

Network Systems Administrator

This position cross-trains with the network engineer to ensure that all network services are always available for all DCIU programs; acts as primary Windows System Administrator for all physical and virtual services; and designs and maintains network solutions in a complex WAN environment.

The ideal candidate will possess an associate or vocational school degree and four years of related work experience in a similar position; experience with LAN and WAN networking; and a minimum of four years of experience with Microsoft server products.

Site Trainer

This position provides support to the instructional program throughout the community by assisting with the assessment process of students referred with special needs; documenting information on student proficiency; and ensuring compliance with legal and administrative requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma and experience with children; the ability to work effectively and regularly with a computer; good judgment and good verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to establish rapport with students and build positive relationships with staff.

IT Applications Coordinator

This position acts as contact for software vendors related to school and business applications; collaborates on the establishment of needs, feasibility, system design, and implementation schedules for new services; and maintains service levels to customers as per negotiated SLAs.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in technical support; extensive knowledge and experience working with all types of application software in an educational environment; and knowledge of ITIL principles of service delivery.
