ICONA Resorts CEO and Chairman Eustace Mita is all about bringing the positive to his company, writes Rebecca Logan for Philadelphia Business Journal.

For Mita, there is no off season or winter. There is only the “cozy season.”

Even the company name, ICONA, is warm and welcoming, combining “icon” and “aloha,” referencing back to Mita’s favorite place in the world, Hawaii.

ICONA Resorts operates three New Jersey resorts– ICONA Diamond Beach, ICONA Avalon and ICONA Cape May.  It also has five restaurants, meeting space and a yacht collection.

ICONA residencies are coming to Diamond Beach in the fall of 2020.

He also leads the building and development company, Achristavest LLC and is developing a hospitality brand called Mahalo, similar to a Marriott Courtyard.

Mita was raised around Philadelphia and spent a lot of summers at the shore. He understands how to make a business fit with the ocean side mindset.

“Grandparents are still coming with their children who are bringing their grandchildren who will eventually bring their great grandchildren – often to the same spot during the same week every summer,” he added. “It offers a certain amount of stability in an uncertain world.”
