Since Dave Magrogan opened his first Harvest restaurant in Glen Mills in 2010, he’s developed at least a dozen restaurant brands over the past 15 years, writes Kenneth Hilario for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Now he’s decided to focus on one brand, Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar, as the company approaches its second decade.

Harvest has since grown to nine locations, most recently in Lancaster and Newtown. Magrogan called Harvest his “best brand” in an earlier interview with the Philadelphia Business Journal.

They’re now taking time to “study the industry, who we are, who we want to be, and what we’re seeing in fast casual, grocery stores and restaurants,” Magrogan said.

They are also modifying the company’s mission statement into a core purpose: “Farm to table for everyone. We serve honest ingredients, seasonally sourced from our trusted farmers.”

The most recent Harvest opened in November in Lancaster, which opened in November. Magrogan sees that as “Harvest 1.25.” The plan for 2020 is to open two new restaurants under the new “Harvest 2.0” philosophy.

Magrogan is in negotiations on a few locations, eyeing Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Florida.
