Devon Senior Living to Host Required Class to Become a Certified Dementia Practitioner on June 26

The Devon Senior Living and Kennett Square-based Willow Tree Hospice will host the required class to become a Certified Dementia Practitioner on Wednesday, June 26 from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

The class – designed for healthcare professionals and front-line staff who work in the healthcare industry and presented by Kelly Adams, LPN, CDP, CADDCT of Willow Tree Hospice – will be held in the conference center at The Devon Senior Living, a Five Star Senior Living community located at 445 North Valley Forge Road in Devon.

With more than 20 years of experience in long-term care and hospice, Adams is committed to making life better for those affected by dementia-related disorders. She currently oversees the Journeys program at Willow Tree Hospice, where she shares her knowledge and experience in dementia through training, patient assessments, and development of non-pharmacologic interventions for those traveling through Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementia disorders.

Seating is limited to 30 participants. Participants must stay to the end of the class to receive credit.
