My name is Dave Bjorkgren, and I’m excited to be the new editor of DELCO Today.

I have lived in Delaware County almost my entire life. I grew up in Drexel Hill and continue to live and work there. From journalism school at Temple University, I landed at the NEWS of Delaware County and stayed for 30 years. I started off as a correspondent covering the borough communities. From there, I had the privilege of covering Haverford Township as a staff writer for 10 years, before becoming an associate editor for the newspaper’s Springfield and Boroughs editions. From 2008 to 2016, I was managing editor for the paper, overseeing all things Delco.

You could say that Delaware County has been my life’s work. Now at DELCO Today, I hope to continue a tradition of telling your stories. We want to let you know about the positive events going on day to day in your communities. We want you to know about the people and events making a difference in your neighborhoods, and we want to tell inspirational stories about those people and projects that are making everyone’s lives a little better.
