Delaware County has something for everyone to enjoy this holiday season.

Destination Delco, the county’s tourism bureau, has compiled its Top 10 Places to Visit and Things to Do in the area this holiday season, some of which include:

  • The Brandywine River Museum’s Annual Critter Sale: For more than 40 years, museum volunteers have been making unique and distinctive critter-ornaments and tabletop decorations using all natural materials. They come in all shapes and sizes from whimsical animals — like cats, dogs, reindeer, and bears — to heavenly angels and stars.
  • The Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra will present a holiday concert on Dec. 2 at 3 PM at the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center.
  • The Santa Express: Every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 23, bring the family and join Santa for a 90-minute journey on a heated, decorated train that runs through the Chester Creek Valley.
  • Linvilla Orchards: Now through Dec. 23, thousands will make the pilgrimage to Linvilla for their tree. The adventure starts when your whole family takes a hayride to the Christmas tree fields to select your favorite. Linvilla supplies the saw, and they help haul your tree back, shake the loose needles, wrap it up, and even tie it to your car.
  • Festival of Lights at Rose Tree Park: There are picnic tables, a courtyard, and park benches to sit on and take in the beauty of the lights, which are turned on from 5:30 to 9:30 PM every night through Jan 1.
