The Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association will host the Third Annual Give Blood, Give Sweat, Give Cheer Festival on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 9 AM-2 PM at the Delaware County Veterans Memorial on West Chester Pike in Newtown Square.

SAP is the presenting sponsor of the event, and all net proceeds will benefit the Memorial.

Former NFL wide receiver Vance Johnson and Veteran Silver Star U.S. Air Force Captain Ralph Galati are this year’s special guest speakers.

Johnson will be signing autographs and sharing his inspiring story as a former NFL star, his journey to sobriety, and the life-saving work he does for festival sponsor Futures Recovery Healthcare. Captain Galati will share his experiences as a POW at the Hanoi Hilton camp and how he is impacting veterans today.

The festival will consist of numerous activities for all ages, including a Blood Drive Sign Up organized by The Red Cross and fitness-inspired events such as a 5K trail run and kids run, as well as various fitness challenges.

Live music from Fender Jackson will entertain crowds throughout the day as patrons also enjoy access to a Kids Zone with bounce houses, games, and exercise activities. Access to these activities and the Kids Zone is free for all visitors, with entry fees for the 5K trail run at $25 per adult, $15 per student, and $5 per entrant for the kids run.

P.J. Whelihan’s of Newtown Square will be featuring a food truck and will sponsor the beer garden.
