Lula's Deli Corner owners Vera and Emad Elsabagh grab a picture with actor Eric Roberts, center.

Lula’s Deli Corner in Clifton Heights is getting a taste of Hollywood, writes Kevin Tustin for the Daily Times.

The deli on the 100 block of West Berkley Avenue is a location in a new movie starring Eric Roberts. Written, directed, and produced by Delaware County’s Joshua Coates, Hollywould is a sci-fi thriller about a writer who starts a complicated relationship with a woman who may or may not be a figment of his imagination.

The corner store serves as a backdrop for a robbery scene and its aftermath. Roberts was on location at the deli last week, along with cast members Val McAdoo, Alice Rose, and Forrest Carroll.

The deli was chosen by Coates several weeks ago.

“This place is so awesome, plenty of space inside and outside for filming this short segment,” said Esso Amin, Lula’s Manager.

When word got out, people lined up to try to get a glimpse of the celebrities. Those who missed Roberts and his co-stars will be able to see them when the movie is released in March 2019.
