American Community Journals, publisher of DELCO Today, is seeking a self-motivated, full- or part-time sales representative to expand DELCO Today’s Delaware County client base.

Once hired, the representative will be responsible for lead generation-related activities, qualifying clients to increase sales pipelines, and continuing to grow relationships with new and existing clients.

This position requires a major portion of the workday to be spent prospecting, meeting with business, civic, and nonprofit leaders to represent DELCO Today’s editorial, calendar, content creation, and career services.

This role offers a competitive base salary, uncapped performance-based monthly bonuses, daily and weekly sales incentives, and a clear path for long-term career development in the booming field of online media sales and marketing.

Responsibilities include:

• Prospect local businesses and qualify them against established criteria
• Identify decision-makers, set appointments, and develop relationships
• Understand each business’s promotional and recruiting requirements through research and asking probing questions
• Prepare and present proposals that address prospect’s requirements and budget
• Create invoice and successfully work with editorial to deliver on client expectations
• Update SFDC CRM and forecasting system throughout the sales process

The ideal candidate will:

• Have some sales or customer service experience
• Have a strong desire to make a difference in the community and build long-term relationships with business and civic leaders
• Be confident, self-motivated, ambitious, determined, and results-oriented
• Possess strong, demonstrable communication and organizational skills
• Be proficient in the use of SFDC, Outlook, Word, and Excel
