SAP America, which is headquartered in Newtown Square, has been named one of the Top 45 companies to work for in California’s Bay Area, according to Fortune magazine.

A subsidiary of SAP SE, a multinational software corporation based in Germany, SAP America represents the company’s business operations in the U.S. It employs 18,379 people at 59 locations.

It provides enterprise software and services for managing accounting, distribution, human resources, and manufacturing functions.

“I believe what makes SAP unique is its commitment to develop their workforce,” said one employee. “They have a myriad of tools and resources that I’ve never experienced in any company I’ve worked for.

“SAP is committed to giving back. A lot of companies say they do but SAP commits their money and people energy. I love the month of service in the fall but was especially happy to hear they’ve expanded the program outside of the single month of service. It makes me proud to work here.”
