Delco Home to ZIP Code with Most Disposable Income in Greater Philadelphia
Eight Delaware County ZIP Codes are among the Top 50 in Greater Philadelphia with the most disposable income, with Villanova on top, according to rankings compiled by the Philadelphia Business Journal with data from the Environmental Systems Research Institute.
Disposable income is defined as the amount each household has after all taxes have been paid. In Greater Philadelphia, nearly all of the ZIP Codes in the Top 50 have a disposable income more than $85,000.
Villanova is first with $135,809 in median disposable income. Thornton checked in at seventh with $108,872.

Haverford is 15th with a median disposable income of $95,639, while Chadds Ford is 16th with $95,080. Garnet Valley, home to one of state’s highest-performing high schools, is No. 24 with $91,065. Meanwhile, Wayne, famous for its quaint downtown, is No. 30 with $87,995.
The list is rounded off with Newtown Square at No. 44 with a disposable income of $80,140 and Glen Mills at No. 49 with $79,171.
