Delco Arts Spring Fling returns Saturday, April 30, with a variety of activities for kids and adults, including a home gardener’s school, quilt exhibition, painting class, live music, and more, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.

Delco Arts Spring Fling is presented by the Delaware County Arts Consortium, comprised of more than 80 cultural organizations working to advance the economic vitality of the nonprofit arts and culture community, as well as promote the value of cultural resources to the local community.

The Delco Arts Spring Fling is sponsored by The Foundation for Delaware County and VisitDelcoPA.com, with support from the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance. A similar event, Delco Arts Week, takes place in the fall.

Events are being held indoors, outdoors, and virtually. Some are free and others require a small fee.

“Arts and culture have long been a vital aspect of the quality of life in Delaware County, and the past couple of years have demonstrated that even more powerfully,” says Veronica Batter, President of Heron Studios in Aston. “Our shared experiences when connecting through a concert, dance performance, live theater, art exhibit, or cultural celebration are what nurture and preserve the ties that keep our communities strong.”

About The Foundation for Delaware County

The Foundation for Delaware County, once part of the nonprofit Crozer-Keystone Health System, was launched July 1, 2016, when it became a separate nonprofit organization following the acquisition of the health system by the for-profit company Prospect Medical Holdings Inc.

It has become Delaware County’s largest community foundation.

In addition to providing grant money to local nonprofits in need, the Foundation has led the way on critical issues in the county, including the 2020 census and the new health department; bringing partners together to address these issues.
