Radnor-Based VWR Foundation to Donate $50,000 to St. Jude Children’s Hospital

The VWR Foundation celebrated the VWR salesforce at the company’s 2018 Americas Sales Conference, and the foundation, which is dedicated to giving back to the science community, will be donating $50,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

VWR, acquired by Avantor in 2017 as a wholly-owned subsidiary and leading global provider of product and service solutions to laboratory and production customers, supports the VWR Foundation by donating a portion of its VWR Collection product sales in the U.S. to the VWR Foundation. In 2017, sales of these products raised $350,000 for the VWR Foundation.

“VWR, its sales representatives, and its customers help make a difference every time they sell/buy a VWR Collection product,” said Valerie Cucinotta Collado, President of the VWR Foundation. “The VWR Collection program funds the VWR Foundation so it can continue to distribute grants to worthy nonprofit organizations dedicated to science. This donation is our way of saying thank you to the sales team for making this happen.”

The VWR Foundation selected 10 potential organizations aligned with its three strategic priorities of research, health and well-being, and education. During the conference, VWR’s Sales team members were given the opportunity to vote on which organization they wanted to support. Out of 10 organizations, the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital was chosen, receiving more than 40 percent of the votes.
