Aston’s 2SP Brewing Company Takes Political Jab with New Beer
Craft-beer aficionados in Delaware County now have a chance to taste some Alternative Facts in a new brew from Aston’s 2SP Brewing Company, writes Rachel Vigoda for Eater Philadelphia.
Last week, 2SP launched “Alternative Facts,” a new seven-percent ABV blonde stout. The unusual name is both a nod to White House spokesperson Kellyanne Conway’s recent comments and to head brewer Bob Barrar’s alternative ingredients for the beer.
Barrar opted to make the brew without roasted malts, usually the basis of stouts. He describes the new brew as full-bodied and hearty, with cocoa nibs mimicking the stout flavor, but with the color of golden ale.
