Front Services Supervisor

This position is responsible for the daily supervision of the valet parkers, clerks, cashiers, and ticket issues. He/she ensures that staff behavior and appearance are in compliance with established policies and procedures. The person coordinates recovery efforts with security and risk management. He/she ensures that customer problems and complaints are handled in an effective, courteous manner.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent hotel experience. He/she must be able to handle guest complaints, and deal directly with the public. The person must have strong customer-service, administrative, interpersonal, organizational, motivational, and problem-solving skills.

Assistant Race Secretary/Clerk of Course

This position assists with the organization and supervision of the race office, including helping to develop racing programs and verifying horse eligibility. He/she maintains all official race summaries, records, suspensions, and fines. The person prepares and serves all notices, and provides daily copies of race results to the appropriate state commissions. He/she ensures compliance with state regulations and company policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of harness racing office experience. He/she must have a valid PA State Racing Commission license or the ability to receive one. The person must have excellent managerial, organizational, and administrative skills.

Count Room Rep

This position sorts, counts, straps, and records the contents of slot drops according to procedure, and compares information contained in drop boxes to data stored on computer terminals. He/she maintains general upkeep of soft count rooms, and notifies supervisor of malfunctioning equipment. The person completes shift change and end-of-day balancing reports, and runs end-of-day reports in the racing system.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent experience. He/she will have a minimum of one to two years of related experience. The person will have excellent communication, mathematical, and clerical skills.
