To assist local employers in delivering financial education initiatives to their employees, the Aston-based Sun East Federal Credit Union has added two financial literacy superstars to its Business Development Team.

Curt Reger and Jim Maloney have a combined 22 years of experience, and can deliver onsite workplace education programs aimed at helping employees develop budgets and strategies for overcoming financial uncertainty.

According to the International Foundation for Employee Benefit Plans, four out of five employers report that their employees’ personal financial issues are impacting their job performance somewhat, very much, or to an extreme degree, resulting in:

  • an increase in stress among employees (reported by 76 percent of employers)
  • workers’ inability to focus at work (60 percent)
  • absenteeism and tardiness (34 percent)

Reger and Maloney can help businesses identify the unique concerns of their workforce and find solutions tailored to that audience. By providing tools that help employees live within a budget and establish good saving habits, the stress of financial worries can be relieved, and employees can regain their focus at work.

“As we continue to build relationships with employers in the region, the addition of Curt and Jim is critical to providing ongoing support,” said Francesca Vogel, Director of Market Development and Programs for Sun East. “They both bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, which will be a great resource for everyone.”

Sun East has a long history of partnering with companies throughout the region; these partnerships provide access to above-average yields on savings, low-rate consolidation options, free checking, retirement planning, and discounts on auto and homeowner’s insurance.

To help improve your employees’ financial well-being, call Reger or Maloney today to schedule an onsite, no-obligation consultation at your place of business at 877-5-SUNEAST or e-mail BDG@suneast.org.
