A majestic, 14,000-square-foot home designed by Fred Bissinger to fit perfectly into the Main Line Gold Coast is up for sale in Villanova, writes Kathleen Webber for Philadelphia Style.

The designer described the 15-year-old house situated on a four-acre estate as artisan revival style, because it combines the fine craftsmanship and materials used in the best homes of a century ago.

It features a gracious entrance hall paved with marble with a tall Palladian window that overlooks the beautifully landscaped grounds. Among the many amenities in this stunning home are a theater, large bright billiard room, a room for virtual reality golf, gym, and sauna.

While designing the home at 744 North Spring Mill Road in Villanova, Bissinger also incorporated several surprises for the owners. The most impressive is stairs that lead from the billiard room to a widow’s walk on the rooftop that offers a panoramic view of the Main Line.
