The Delaware County Chamber of Commerce will host the 2016 annual report and discussion on state legislative issues affecting Delaware County on Friday at the Inn at Swarthmore from 8-10 AM.

State Representatives will remark on the state budget, business taxes, and other current topics in legislation that impact Delaware County businesses.

In a collaborative environment over breakfast, this explanatory address encourages the business community to engage with elected state representatives.

Those in attendance will receive a summary of legislative activity, on specific pieces of legislation, and on committee activity.

As the county’s business advocate, the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce continuously monitors legislative activity and advocates on behalf of the chamber membership on policies of interest.

The Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee and Board of Directors have awarded Representative Jamie Santora as the Chamber’s Legislator of the Year.

Delaware County has an excellent legislative delegation representing it in Harrisburg, but Rep. Santora was chosen due to his outstanding pro-business voting record and services to small business, not only in his district, but county wide. In particular, Rep. Santora recognizes the need to roll back restrictive regulations and promote sound business policies.

In addition to Santora, the following elected officials will be in attendance:

  • Senator Tom McGarrigle
  • Representative Bill Adolph
  • Representative Steve Barrar
  • Representative Leanne Krueger Braneky

The cost of attendance is $35 for Chamber members and $50 for non-members. Click here to register.
