Natural Lands Trust, the region’s foremost land conservation organization, invites you to run for nature at the ChesLen Chase for Open Space on Saturday.

Proceeds from the event will benefit ChesLen Preserve, one of the largest private nature preserves in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Choose among three courses — a 10K run, a 5K run, and a 1.5-mile run/walk — all of which traverse ChesLen Preserve’s beautiful autumn landscapes.

The challenging 10K course leads runners across open fields, through dense woodlands, and around marshy wetlands, and includes steep hills and a creek crossing.

The 5K course runs through woodlands, fall meadows, and past sweeping agricultural fields.

The 1.5-mile Fun Run/Walk begins at the LenFest Center, circling clockwise through the western side of ChesLen Preserve.

A party after the race will include live music, dancing, craft beer, and BBQ.

Event sponsor Victory Brewing Company will offer one free BBQ sandwich and one free beer (age 21 and older) to all participants. Additional sandwiches and beverages will be available for purchase from Victory’s iconic “Brew Pub on Wheels.”

Prizes will be awarded for the 10K and 5K race.

The race begins Saturday at 11:00 AM. Check-in begins at 8:30 AM at the Preserve at 1199 Cannery Road in Coatesville.
