A local foam business is quickly expanding from Media to the far reaches of the Pacific Northwest. Innovative foam product maker FXI just enlarged its foam-making presence in Portland with the acquisition of a Hickory Springs Manufacturing foam pouring and fabrication facility.
“Over the past several years, we have made strategic acquisitions of well-regarded manufacturing facilities to fuel FXI’s business growth,” President and CEO John Cowles said in a Furniture World Magazine staff report.
“The HSM facility is a high-quality production facility with well-trained employees. This is an exciting time for all of our people and our customers. Customers will benefit from our expanded capabilities, and there will be new opportunities for our current employees in the region, knowing that FXI is committed to the foam business.”
The new FXI facility operates in 185,000 square feet.
