Some athletes celebrate their success with a bottle of champagne or even a trip to Disney World.

For gymnast Laurie Hernandez of Old Bridge, N.J., she is headed straight to Wawa, the Delco-based chain of convenience stores she has an affinity for, when she returns home today from Rio de Janeiro.

The 16-year-old won a gold medal in the team competition for the United States, then earned a silver on the balance beam.

“As soon as you land, we’re going straight to Wawa,” Hernandez’s brother Marcus wrote to her on Instagram.

The siblings are superfans of Wawa. Laurie has previously Instagrammed meals from Wawa, including a photo of a sandwich and smoothie, with the caption “I officially have the best brother ever!”

Wawa spokeswoman Lori Bruce said the company is just proud to be part of an Olympic champion’s life.

“On behalf of the entire Wawa team, we want to extend a huge congratulations to Laurie on this incredible achievement,” said Bruce. “We’re so honored and humbled to be a part of this hometown hero’s life!”
