The city of Chester’s biggest asset has always been its strong sense of community.

That kinship among its residents has now extended to two of its biggest employers.

The Philadelphia Union, who play in Talen Energy Stadium on the banks of the Delaware River, has agreed to a naming-rights partnership with Chester-based Power Home Remodeling for the team’s nearby training complex, writes Marc Narducci for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The 16,500-square-foot Power Training Complex is comprised of two regulation-size training fields and an indoor facility that includes a weight training area, physical therapy and sports science development area, nutrition center, locker rooms, state-of-the-art video theater, and a players’ lounge.

“This state-of-the-art facility rivals anything in North America, and gives us a unique environment to continue to strive toward excellence in MLS,” Union sporting director Earnie Stewart said.

“It shows a tremendous commitment from Jay Sugarman and our ownership group. We’re happy to share it with the rest of the soccer community. We feel this training facility clearly demonstrates the ambitions we have as a club.”

Power Home Remodeling is one of the nation’s largest exterior remodelers, serving more than 300,000 customers across the U.S.
