Wing Bowl at eMoney Advisor
The annual Wing Bowl at eMoney Advisor is just one of many reasons the company was named one of the "Best Places to Work" in Philadelphia.

Headquartered in Radnor, eMoney Advisor has been named one of the “Best Places to Work” in Philadelphia in the large company category by the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Founded in 2000, eMoney creates innovative financial technology for financial advisors and their clients, including an industry-leading client portal and powerful data and analytics tools. The company’s 77,000-square-foot office in Radnor is home to more than 300 of the brightest minds in the rapidly growing fintech space.

The company’s San Diego office earned a similar nod from the San Diego Business Journal earlier this month.

“We are honored and excited to learn that our Radnor office has also been recognized as a best place to work,” said Ed O’Brien, CEO of eMoney Advisor. “This latest award validates our commitment to our employees and celebrates the creative, fun culture we’ve built.

“We believe that innovation is sparked from an atmosphere of creativity, collaboration, and personal growth. Embedding these attributes into our culture directly translates to the cutting-edge wealth management technology we provide to advisors and their clients.”

Radnor has become a hotbed for companies of all sizes in various industries, with shopping, restaurants, and recreation nearby. Along with being a short car ride from city limits, it’s easy to commute to Radnor using public transportation via train or bus.

For added convenience, eMoney employees are even provided with a free shuttle between the train station and the office.

The company’s office space is jaw-dropping. Modeled after tech firms in Silicon Valley, eMoney’s headquarters feature state-of-the-art conference rooms named after Philadelphia neighborhoods, community working spaces with couches and flat screen TVs, multiple kitchen areas filled with snacks and beverages, a game area, and a Segway.

Other building amenities include a café open for breakfast and lunch and a fitness center.

“Our on-site technology, paired with the fantastic work space here in Radnor, fosters collaboration, communication, and productivity,” said Tessa Raum, Director of Human Resources at eMoney. “And while we certainly value team work, we also recognize that each of us has different strengths and talents that contribute to eMoney’s success.”

In addition to work activities, such as training and companywide Town Halls hosted by O’Brien, the Radnor office runs a number of special events throughout the year to further build camaraderie. Events include a monthly “Appy Hour,” picnics, intramural sports like kickball and soccer, charitable outings, and even the company’s own “Wing Bowl,” modeled after Philadelphia’s well-known chicken-wing challenge.
