Two of Delaware County’s colleges,  Swarthmore and Villanova, cracked a top 100 list of best universities and colleges in the nation for 2020, reports the personal finance website WalletHub.

A third, Haverford, was just on the outside of the top 100, at 101, according to the report.

WalletHub compared 1,003  higher-education institutions in the U.S. based on 33 key measures grouped into seven categories.

• Swarthmore College ranked overall 20th in the nation. It ranked 185th in campus experience,  33rd in faculty resources, 138th in educational outcomes and 109th in career outcomes.  It ranked 912th in cost and financing.
• Villanova University ranked overall 75^th in the nation. It ranked 192^nd in campus experience,  258^thin faculty resources, 184th in educational outcomes and 19^th in career outcomes.  It ranked 988^th in cost and financing.
• Haverford College ranked overall 101st^th in the nation. It ranked 98th in campus experience, 68th in faculty resources, 175th in educational outcomes and 120^th in career outcomes.  It ranked 1,003rd in cost and financing.

The three colleges also made the list of top 10 colleges and universities in Pennsylvania.

Swarthmore College ranked second.  Villanova University ranked fifth and Haverford College ranked eighth.
