‘You’re In,’ Penn State Tells Delaware County Community College Grads

By

DCCC logoStudents at Delaware County Community College got great news on Wednesday, as the two-year community college and Penn State University signed a guaranteed admissions agreement allowing qualifying graduates to transfer seamlessly to Penn State University.

By earning a two-year associate degree at Delaware County Community College with its lower tuition fees, then transferring their credits without issues, students can save money when going on to complete a four-year baccalaureate degree at Penn State.

The agreement applies to Bachelor of Science in Biology, Bachelor of Science in Business, and Bachelor of Arts or Science in Psychology at Penn State’s “University College” academic unit. All of these courses are offered at Penn State’s Brandywine Campus, located close to Delaware County Community College’s Marple Campus.

Delaware County Community College graduates eligible for the program need an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree with a minimum grade-point average of 2.0. Penn State’s application fees are waived, but other requirements and restrictions may apply.

Former Penn State undergraduate students who currently attend Delaware County Community College in good academic standing are also eligible.

“This forward-thinking agreement provides an excellent opportunity for our graduates to pursue a four-year degree at a wonderful university,” said Dr. Jerry Parker, president of Delaware County Community College.

“Many of our students prefer to stay local, and this agreement enables them to further their education at Penn State University’s nearby Brandywine Campus.”
