Accounting Coordinator

This position is responsible for all the activities associated with the inmate trust account, the employee welfare account, the commissary account, the inmate welfare, account and the petty cash account. He/she is accountable for the accuracy of bank deposits made to trust fund and ensuring that all account records are in balance with their respective bank account. The person performs daily audits of inmate accounts to verify correctness of account balances.

The ideal candidate will have bookkeeping experience, as well as experience with automated accounting systems. Ten-key and computer knowledge is highly desirable.

Records Clerk

This position assists with data entry and maintenance of inmate Judgment and Commitment files. He/she collects and reviews pertinent documents associated with the transfer of inmates within the BOP system. The person also generates and submits required reports relative to the inmate Judgment and Commitment files, as well as other reports required. The role also assists in maintaining institution security, especially in area of responsibility, and promptly reports any violations or security hazards to appropriate supervisory and/or security staff.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of clerical experience, and have experience in word processing, as well as knowledge of various software programs. He/she should have excellent organizational and communication skills.

Drug and Alcohol Counselor

This position will focus on developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans for a case load of inmates, providing them survival skills that will enhance and facilitate their successful completion of sentence or re-entry into society. He/she will assess and identify issues for each inmate and create clear objectives and goals. The person will also track and document inmate progress in case reports, while working to meet all required internal and external standards and policies.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, addicitons, counseling or a related field. The person must be experienced in substance abuse counseling and motivated to work in a correctional facility.
