Assistant Director of Leadership Giving and Gift Planning

This position will travel across a large geographic territory to qualify, engage, solicit, and steward leadership level annual donors to the college, scheduling 10-12 face-to-face meetings with Swarthmore constituents per month. He/she has accountability for both dollar and activity goals as determined in consultation with their supervisor at the outset of each fiscal year. The person will recruit, train, and manage fundraising volunteers as assigned in order to increase alumni engagement and involvement and maximize fundraising potential.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree with three to five years of experience in institutional advancement. He/she should have strong organizational abilities with attention to detail, while handling multiple and varied tasks. The person must be capable of dealing with people, using tact and diplomacy, and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. He/she should have skill in articulating the value of higher education.

Classroom and Media Technologist

This position will ensure that faculty, staff, and students have access to technologically superb learning and meeting spaces and digital media production resources. He/she will provide presentation support for events. Work is often fast-paced and supports mission-critical curricular and business functions at every level of the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree and have three years of relevant work experience. He/she should have demonstrated experience providing direct client support and training. The person will have hands-on expertise with instructional media and classroom technologies, and have up-to-date knowledge of classroom presentation system design and management.

Fitness Center Director/Strength and Conditioning Coordinator

This position will plan, organize, and collaborate in the direction and operation of the fitness center and related facilities. He/she will manage operating budget, verify and manage payroll, program and manage databases, and provide educational support for recreational equipment and for the access scanner at the reception desk. The person will create and oversee work schedule for building personnel, including group exercise instructors and personal trainers. This position also teaches PE and/or wellness classes.

The successful candidate will have a degree and previous experience in college strength and conditioning and fitness center management. He/she will have strong communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, organization, and time management skills. The person will also have a knowledge of and passion for fitness, wellness, and strength and conditioning.
