Wawa, the Delco-based chain of convenience stores, is a staple in the lives of Delaware Valley residents and beyond. Almost 700 Wawa stores – more than half of which sell gasoline – are located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Central Florida. They offer built-to-order hoagies, freshly brewed coffee, hot breakfast sandwiches, specialty beverages, and an assortment of soups, sides, and snacks. Wawa has the following positions available at its corporate headquarters in Media:

Assistant Fresh Beverage Development Manager

This position will be responsible for the development of Wawa Branded Coffee as well as other Fresh Beverage products. He/she will work closely with the Category Team to align products with strategic goals. This position is also responsible for refining existing programs to increase quality as well as drive cost and non-value added activities out of Wawa’s operations. The person is responsible for developing and maintaining coffee specifications including raw materials and finished goods for green coffee, soluble coffee, roasted coffee, and tea.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, and have at least three years of experience in the coffee manufacturing industry. Familiarity with SCAA Grading Standards for green and roasted coffee is preferred. Knowledge of SCAA Brewing Standards and a formal step-by-step evaluation process is required.

Business Solutions Analyst

This position is part of the IT Engagement team focusing on Wawa’s different business areas. The team serves as primary point of interaction with IT, works closely with all other areas of IT to deliver proactive services and reliable technology, and is responsible for overall business user satisfaction. He/she will work with a diverse group of business partners, utilizing a blended mix of business knowledge and the ability to improve business process with technology. The person will serve as a subject matter expert inside a specific line of business, provide oversight of the existing technology systems and processes, and work with the Engagement Manager in defining new capabilities and process improvements.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a technical discipline (engineering), and have at least seven years of related work experience. He/she must be knowledgeable of applications in associated Engagement Area – for example, Finance/SAP, HR/Vista, Facilities/FMAIS, Fuel/Kallibrate.

Systems Engineer – Server Administration

This position is responsible for administering, securing, supporting, and maintaining products and services, providing detailed technical analysis and evaluations, and implementing recommendations that improve the overall effectiveness with a focus on Cloud Services infrastructure. He/she will manage, escalate, and resolve more complex technology service issues from Red Roof, WBC, and Field associates. The person will facilitate issue resolution between internal IT teams and external IT business partners.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a technical discipline (engineering), and have 1-5 years of related work experience. Strong working skills on the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required.
