Director of Care Coordination
This position will provide leadership and strategic direction to care transitions, utilization management, appeals and denials management, and clinical documentation improvement programs, functions and activities. This individual will also have responsibility for systems, processes, and outcomes of clinical care, programs related to care coordination, and the development, implementation, and achievement of his/her department’s goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in Nursing, a related field, or Business Administration. He/she should have a minimum of eight years of case management experience, including five years at the managerial level. Knowledge of managed care, government payers, third-party reimbursement, payer requirements, and evidence based standards for coordination and delivery of services to patients is required.

Clinical Care Supervisor
This position is in the Emergency Department and will assist in maintaining adequate staffing according to budgeted staffing plans. He/she responds to emergencies or changes in unit activity levels in a professional manner, provides direction, and adjusts workload to ensure that patient needs are met. The person serves as a role model and clinical resource to the nurses and ancillary staff.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, and have three to five years of Emergency Department experience. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Demonstrated communication, leadership, and organizational skills are required.

Emergency Department Care Manager
This position assists physicians and the interdisciplinary team in facilitating the entry of patients into the appropriate level of care by utilizing InterQual criteria. Primary responsibilities include reducing unnecessary admissions to the acute care hospital, assigning correct levels of care (Outpatient Observation vs. Inpatient Admission) with attention to the issues presented by readmissions, and recommending options for safe discharge. He/she will also coordinate all non-elective point of entry admissions and facilitate timely throughput of emergency room patients.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, and have three years of utilization management or case management experience, including emphasis on discharge planning. He/she will have knowledge of Managed care, government payers, third-party reimbursement, and InterQual criteria and its application.
