Springfield’s LifeGuard Technologies, makers of patented and patent-pending industrial safety hoses, has continued its global expansion with the establishment of operations in Argentina, expansion of its technical team in India, and the hiring of a U.S. Compressed Gas Market Sales Manager.

LifeGuard Technologies South America will be led by Mauro Schafer who is U.S. certified with BOC and Air Products in USA, Argentina, and Chile, operating transfill plans and helium liquifiers, as well as performing MRI services at customer sites.

“We have closely monitored the Latin America Market, and in particular Argentina,” said Andy Abrams, the company’s Executive Vice President. “We believe the time is right to build a strong, local, and experienced team in South America.”

Jim Greer has been appointed as a U.S. Compressed Gas Market Sales Manager, focusing on the independent welding distributor market. Greer brings extensive sales and market knowledge to LifeGuard, having worked in the US Compressed Gas Industry for more than 35 years.

Lifeguard has expanded its current operations in India, and has announced K Manoharan has joined LifeGuard as the National Technical Sales Advisor. He was most recently Head of Global Engineering Center, Linde Gases where he was responsible for plant engineering worldwide. The company’s approved oxygen cleaning facility there provides LifeGuard with an excellent platform from which it can expand the product line in Sub-Asia to further enhance the safety in cylinder filling operations.
