House of the Week: Fairy-Tale Cottage in Villanova
The relatively small lot – 0.27 acres – cannot dampen the beautiful exterior of this four-bedroom, three-bath property at 29 Aldwyn Lane in Villanova, writes Matthew Sheridan of Philadelphia Magazine.
The Tudor house has cream stucco with blue wood-beam accents, a color combination that you don’t see very often. There are also green shutters and a green arched doorway that lends a fairy-tale cottage vibe. The tall, singular stone chimney adds to that.
Inside, it is a pleasantly updated home. It’s headlined by an especially spacious kitchen, part of a new kitchen/family room addition at the back, that has butcher block counters, stainless steel appliances and built-in pantry cabinetry that runs from the floor to the ceiling.
There’s also a living room with hardwood floors and a gas fireplace.
On the second level there are two family bedrooms, the master bedroom, and a bathroom with a frameless glass tub/shower enclosure. There’s a third-floor suite with its own bathroom that can be converted to a master suite as well.
The 2,400-square-foot home is priced at $674,900 and listed by BHHS Fox & Roach.
