Registered Nurse for Skilled Nursing

Freedom Village at Brandywine is seeking a registered nurse for its day shift.

Salary starts at $40-45/hour, plus a Shift Differential of $4/hour for Weekday Evenings and Nights and $6/hour for all weekend shifts.

Actual salary may fall outside of the posted salary range as it is dependent on skills and experience.

The Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) is responsible for the overall nursing care/service and management of all personnel on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated. 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on your shift.
  • Administer direct care as necessary.
  • Give and receive shift reports.
  • Ensure that proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
  • Keep physicians and families aware of changes in the resident’s condition.
  • Assist in developing comprehensive care plans.
  • Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered.
  • Respond to the resident emergency call system.
  • Interface with other disciplines to assure continuity of care and services.
  • Accompanies physicians when making rounds.
  • Encourage restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. RN with a current license in Pennsylvania. 
  • At least 1 year of experience in geriatric nursing, Long Term Care (LTC) a plus.  
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
  • Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Full-Time Cook

Freedom Village at Brandywine is seeking a skilled, hospitality-driven Cook with strong culinary experience to join its team.

As a Cook in the Culinary Services Department, you’ll lead hands-on food production and bring creativity, consistency, and care to every dish. You’ll play a vital role in menu execution, dietary compliance, and the overall dining experience.

You’ll work full-time (40 hours/week) with shifts typically between 11 AM and 7 PM. There are no late nights, and you only have to work every other weekend! Pay starts at $18–$20/hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold company standards of hospitality, customer service, and presentation at all times.
  • Prepare and present meals that meet high culinary and dietary standards with both flavor and visual appeal.
  • Execute seasonal and rotating menus with precision, supporting the Executive Chef in recipe development and production.
  • Ensure top-tier kitchen operations: sanitation, organization, timing, and cleanliness.
  • Cook for special diets (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium, pureed) according to community guidelines and resident needs.
  • Collaborate on daily prep and service, maintaining consistency and efficiency.
  • Interact with residents, gathering feedback to elevate the dining experience.
  • Mentor junior kitchen staff as needed and support a positive, professional kitchen culture.

Qualifications:

  • A culinary degree is strongly preferred, or formal training.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen (restaurant, hotel, or senior living).
  • Strong understanding of dietary requirements and safe food handling.
  • A passion for creating elevated yet comforting meals with attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, team-first mindset, and a genuine love of serving others.

Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse

Freedom Village at Brandywine is recruiting for a part-time LPN to work 2 PM-10:30 PM. 

This role is eligible for a shift differential of $1.25 for evenings during the week and $2.50 on the weekends. Salary is starting at $30/hour.

Freedom Village at Brandywine is recruiting for a hospitality-focused LPN to join its team. This position provides direct nursing care to residents and delegates to and supervises Resident Caregivers for Personal Care Home/Assisted Living. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), family/social activities, and actively promote the independent lifestyle of residents.
  • Responsible for the identification of resident medical and behavioral changes and the development and monitoring of care plans and re-assessment of each resident.
  • Provide a daily report to the Director of Health Services concerning community conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and needs for nursing supplies.
  • Provide nursing care according to the physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies.
  • Ensure preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services to residents and assist in the coordination of nursing care with care rendered by other disciplines.

Qualifications:

  • Current nursing license valid in Pennsylvania. 
  • Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the community.
