Dining Room Supervisor
Freedom Village is recruiting for a Dining Room Supervisor who will be responsible for the overall operation, coordination, appearance, and maintenance of the dining area and waitress station, and ensuring that courteous and efficient services are delivered.
This full-time position pays $18 to $20 an hour based on experience and requires working every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the physical appearance of the dining room and waitress stations, including table pedestals, chairs, rugs, drapes, flooring tiles, light fixtures, etc.
- Supervises the appearance of dining room tables, including table linens, napkins, silverware, table setup, centerpieces, etc.
- Supervises Dining Room personnel on all shifts, staffing, scheduling, counseling, orientation, and evaluation of Dining Room Staff.
- Selects, trains, evaluates, and recommends/carries out discipline for all Dining Room personnel.
- Assigns specific jobs and spot checks to ensure standards are met.
- Maintains pertinent and appropriate records, reports, files, schedules, and studies. Ensure that the posted work schedule meets all staffing/labor/budget guidelines.
- Ensures that all policies and procedures related to safety and health are followed, including but not limited to MSDS information, safe work practices, infection control, and universal precautions.
- Promotes teamwork within the department and between departments to ensure smooth operations and quality service.
Experience Required
- A la carte dining experience preferred.
- A minimum of two years supervisory experience in “front of the house operations” within a restaurant, hotel, club, or similar institution.
- Prefer post-secondary education in hospitality management or dining room operations.
- Excellent Interpersonal and Social Skills in order to work effectively with residents, patients, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, subordinates, and other outside contacts.
- Love to stay busy and able to spend over 90 percent of your day moving around and interacting with staff, residents, and organizing and preparing for meals, events, and other busy activities throughout the day.
- Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
- Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Assistant Director of Nursing
Freedom Village at Brandywine is recruiting for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with a starting salary of $95,000. The Assistant Director of Nursing is an RN who is responsible for the overall supervision of nursing care in the Health Center.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the ADON:
- Supervises direct nursing care in the Health Center.
- Administers direct nursing care when more than routine care is indicated.
- Makes routine rounds to assure proper care and a safe, clean resident environment.
- Assures accuracy and completeness of medical records.
- Coordinates, conducts, and documents the MDS, resident care plans, and conferences in the absence of the MDS nurse.
- Supervises nursing personnel on all shifts. Participates in staffing, scheduling, counseling, orientation, and evaluation of nursing staff.
- Assists with the orientation of nursing personnel.
- Participates in family/resident counseling.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Master of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Valid PA Registered Nurse License.
- Previous supervisory experience.

Registered Nurse
Freedom Village at Brandywine is recruiting for a Registered Nurse Supervisor in Skilled Nursing 3 PM to 11 PM. The position starts at $40-$45/hour plus differential. Actual salary may fall outside of the posted salary range as it is dependent on skills and experience.
The Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) is responsible for the overall nursing care/service and management of all personnel on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated.
Responsibilities
- Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on your shift.
- Administer direct care as necessary.
- Give and receive shift reports.
- Ensure that proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
- Keep physicians and families aware of changes in the resident’s condition.
- Assist in developing comprehensive care plans.
- Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered.
- Respond to the resident emergency call system.
- Interface with other disciplines to assure continuity of care and services.
- Accompanies physicians when making rounds.
- Encourage restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.
Skills and Education needed
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. RN with a current license in Pennsylvania.
- At least 1 year of experience in geriatric nursing, Long Term Care (LTC) a plus.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Basic computer proficiency.
