Four Delaware County Schools Rank Among Pennsylvania’s Best for Standardized Test Performance

Radnor High School, part of Radnor Township School District, which ranked No. 4 among Pennsylvania's 500 school districts in the latest statewide analysis.

Four Delaware County school districts are among Pennsylvania’s academic elite, with new statewide rankings placing all four in the top 20, and one firmly in the top five for the third year running.

The rankings, compiled by the Pittsburgh Business Times and reported by Ethan Lott and Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal, drew on three years of PSSA and Keystone Exam data from 2023 through 2025 across 482 of Pennsylvania’s 500 school districts.

Radnor Township School District once again led the county, holding strong at No. 4 statewide, a position that cements its reputation as one of the most respected public school systems in the country, with consistent recognition for academic achievement and college readiness.

But Radnor wasn’t alone at the top. The School District of Haverford Township jumped four spots to No. 12, while Springfield School District climbed to No. 13 and Wallingford-Swarthmore School District rose to No. 14, jumping three spots up from its former placement at No. 17.

Rose Tree Media School District also earned a strong showing, landing at No. 25 statewide just outside the top 20.

The rankings were built on more than 250 data points spanning math, reading, science, algebra, biology, and literature, measuring how far each district outpaced the statewide average.

Readers can explore the complete rankings, district-by-district breakdowns, and full methodology in the Philadelphia Business Journal’s analysis.
